Shannon Li
Shannon Li joined International Leverage in 2006
Shannon has extensive Human Resources Management experience with
multi-national companies. She has worked in a US holding company,
a whole owned foreign company and a joint venture company for 8 years
in HR management positions. Shannon is very familiar with Chinese
Labor law & regulations and Chinese social benefits policy. She
has done an intensive study of compensation and benefits of foreign
companies in China.
Having taught English at two key universities in China, Shannon
is fully proficient in both written and spoken English. Shannon
has
received western training on a variety of subjects, including leadership,
human resource management, 6 Sigma, lean manufacturing, and quality
systems.
Select Professional Experience
In 2007 Shannon was responsible for helping western company find
business partners in China, having established and registered the
client’s Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise (WOFE) in China.
Shannon has lived the China Growth Curve, having helped the company
grow from 40 employees in 1998 to 1,500 employees in 2006. Shannon
was intimately involved in hiring and training local management teams.
Shannon has also managed a team engaged in strategic sourcing activities,
saving IL client’s 30-50+% on a wide variety of products.
From 1998 to 2006, Shannon worked as an HR Manager for 3 Delphi
organizations in Shanghai including Delphi Shanghai Dynamics & Propulsion
System Co. Ltd, (WOEF); Shanghai Delphi Emission Control Systems
Co., Ltd ( JV); Delphi China Holding Co. Ltd. There are 1,500 employees
in the WOEF and JV. Responsible for developing HR policy and procedures,
resource planning, recruiting, training and development, retention,
progress and succession, compensation & benefits, employee relation,
expatriate administration, office administration; communication;
government relations.
From 1982 to 1998, Shannon taught English and worked as a deputy
director of foreign language training center at two key universities
in China, including Chengdu University of Science and Technology,
and Beijing University of Post & Telecommunication.
